Hong Kong singer Karen Mok will be holding her last concert at the Taipei Arena before she weds her fiancé later this year.
Yesterday afternoon, Karen arrived in Taiwan and revealed that she would be rehearsing a "happy and romantic dream wedding" sequence during the concert. The singer was said to be overwhelmed by her feelings during rehearsals and had secretly cried.
Karen's concert would fall on Chinese Valentines' Day. When asked if her fiancé Joannes would attend the concert, Karen laughed, "He won't' be coming. It's too far [from Germany]!"
However, she let on that her mother and former schoolmates would be there to show their support.
Karen had first made her wedding plans known at the Golden Melody Awards held in June this year. She would be marrying Joannes -- her first love, who she reconciled with less than a year ago -- in October. However, the dates of her concert tour clashed with that of the wedding.
Was it tiring to prepare for both events?
"Preparing for a wedding is like preparing for a show. While a wedding is not a show, the process is almost the same," Karen said.
The singer had been keeping mum regarding the details of the wedding, although it was known that she hoped to marry in Florence, Italy.
However, Karen let slipped yesterday that her "wedding will be in early October. It's actually very soon."
The singer added that a male fan commented on her microblog, saying he had bought tickets to her concert and will be proposing to his girlfriend then. The fan hopes his girlfriend would be touched by Karen's singing.
Karen sent her well wishes to the fan, and hopes that his proposal would be successful.
