After Kelly wedded businessman Chris Young at the Maldives on Mar 22, there were countless of rumours that the actress was already four months' pregnant. Previously, the media reported that Kelly continued to upload photos of her working, to hide her pregnancy.
At a promotional event on Apr 28, Kelly appeared publicly for the first time after her marriage. When asked about her pregnancy, Kelly finally admitted, "Yes, I'm pregnant!"
"I can't announce [my pregnancy], if it's less than three months," the actress answered when asked how many months she had been pregnant.
Her reply coincided with the media's previous speculation that Kelly is currently four months' pregnant and will give birth in October.
Kelly expressed that she did not know the gender of the baby, but her husband and mother-in-law prefer it to be a girl.
"My husband's happy and touched," Kelly said, adding that she plans to have two children.
Commenting on her marriage being a shotgun one, the actress denied the rumour and added that she "only knew [of her pregnancy] after the wedding".
At the event, a staff helped Kelly up and down the stairs. The actress laughed and said, "It's a little tiring after standing for a long time. Luckily, I don't have morning sickness."
Kelly wore a long white dress, which showed off her cleavage, for the event. The actress expressed that she had borrowed the dress from good friend Shu Qi. However, she added that Shu Qi was not informed of her pregnancy.
"I've gained two to three kilos. I hope the baby is growing well, but I don't want to put on too much weight," Kelly said.
