Taiwanese actress Shu Qi and singer Lee Hom broke up three years ago.

However, the couple was recently spotted holding hands while taking a stroll down the street s of New York. They even took the same flight from New York to Hong Kong.

Last month, when Lee Hom visited his parents in New York, Shu Qi posted a map, which showed the journey from Hong Kong to New York, on her microblog.

The picture was accompanied by a caption, "Is a 15-hour flight very long? No, it's not. It's just a footprint away." This caused speculations that Shu Qi hinted that she had gone over to New York with Lee Hom and that it was a declaration of their relationship.

According to a Taiwanese tabloid, when Lee Hom arrived in Taiwan from Dalian on Jul 30, Shu Qi drove her brother's car to the singer's residence and spent the night there. The actress left at noon the next day.

Shu Qi responded to the reports, calling them "extremely absurd", and said that the magazine was making up stories.

On the other hand, Lee Hom's recording company emphasised that the two of them were just friends.

In 2005, Shu Qi and Lee Hom met on the set of the singer's music video 'The First Morning' and fell in love. After dating for three years, the couple broke up when Lee Hom stood the actress up for unknown reasons, which caused their overseas trip to be cancelled.

For Hong Kong actress Shu Qi, age is just a number.

Wearing a pink blouse and a mini-skirt, Shu Qi was seen chatting and laughing away with her co-star Liu Ye at the Beijing premiere of her new movie A Beautiful Life. The actress even hugged guest star Ge You passionately when she met him.

Apart from her soaring career, her love life also seemed to be blossoming, with recent rumours of her relationship with Taiwanese actor Eddie Peng and Hong Kong actor Shawn Yu.

Commenting on her relationship with Eddie, Shu Qi said that "he is a nice boy, who deserves a nice girl; but I'm a woman".

"(There are) no boundaries when it comes to love. Anything is possible in this world," the actress said during an interview on May 9, hinting that she did not mind dating someone who is younger.

Earlier on, Shu Qi and Shawn were caught flirting on microblogging site Weibo, where the couple called each other "darling".

When asked to comment on her relationship with Shawn, Shu Qi coyly replied, "take a guess," fuelling speculations about their relationship.

However, Shawn denied there was anything between him and Shu Qi in an interview, saying that his relationship with Shu Qi was " there is no relationship".

"It's all right to spread rumours about men, but it's really not good for the ladies. Shu Qi is a nice girl, so it's really not right to be spreading [rumours] like this," Shawn added.

A trailer has been released for Andrew Lau's urban drama film "A Beautiful Life" ("Bu Zai Rang Ni Gu Dan"), starring Shu Qi and Liu Ye.

Different from what the movie's name would suggest, a poignant tone is set in the trailer, which shows Shu Qi appearing sad and upset in many scenes, tears running down her face.

Shu Qi plays a Hong Kong woman living in Beijing. She takes advantage of a local policeman (Liu Ye) and leaves him after spending all his savings. But then she suffers emotionally when she finds that she had been in love with him.

The film is slated for release on May 13.
