In 2008, former actress Isabella Leong dated Hong Kong tycoon Richard Li. A year later, she gave birth to Richard's eldest son, and then to a pair of twins in 2010.

Just when everyone thought Isabella was going to marry Richard, she suddenly announced her separation with Richard in February, putting an end to the much anticipated fairytale wedding.

Although Isabella and Richard went separate ways, she is still caring for her three sons.

After news of the couple's split was reported, Isabella was seen in Phoenix City, Arizona with her eldest son. Then, it was rumoured that she has expressed interest in returning to the Hong Kong showbiz.

On May 29, a reporter spotted Isabella at a country restaurant in Sai Kung, Hong Kong, decked in a pastel low-cut shirt and without any makeup.

Looking happy and relaxed, Isabella was accompanied by her mother, her mentor Jim Chim and his wife, and her best friend Coco Chiang and her boyfriend. However, there were no signs of her three children.

The reporter then went up to greet her. Isabella was very friendly and even allowed the reporter to photograph her.

When Isabella was asked if her children returned to Hong Kong with her and if she would bring them to visit their grandfather Li Ka-Shing, the former actress dodged the question, saying "it's time for dinner."

Isabella also gave the reporter an awkward smile when she was hounded to comment on Richard's latest rumour.

Jim eventually came to her rescue and told the reporter, "We haven't seen each other for a long time. Please give us some personal space. I'm sure Isabella will let you know, if there's any update."

On May 29, former actress Isabella Leong was spotted having dinner with a group of friends, which included her mentor Jim Chim.

After dinner, the happy and relaxed Isabella headed over to good friend Coco Chiang's place, and stayed past 2am before she was chauffeured home.

Reporters later discovered that the Lexus which Isabella boarded, as well as the bodyguards who accompanied her, were from her ex-boyfriend Richard Li's company.

In a phone interview with Jim on May 30, he expressed that they were reminiscing the good old days when Isabella was learning [acting]. The conversation triggered a lot of beautiful memories for Isabella, which reignited her passion to act.

So, will they be working together soon?

"I'm waiting for her availability, be it making a movie or theatre production. However, her children are still very young. She needs to focus on being a mother first, although she had expressed an interest to return to showbiz," Jim said.

He added he had suggested to Isabella to watch more movies in preparation for her comeback.

When asked to comment on the impending collaboration between Jim and Isabella, the actress's manager Michelle Lo said, "Their dinner was just a reunion. Having acting skills and having a passion for acting are two different issues. It's still too early to tell right now."

Jim also let on that Isabella had shown him recent photographs of her children. The former actress's mentor had complimented the children for looking adorable. He later revealed that Isabella will be leaving Hong Kong in a couple of days.

When asked if the children would be meeting their grandfather Li Ka-Shing, the manager said that she is in no position to speak on Isabella's private life.
