According to an insider recently, Sam is believed to carry a torch for A-Mei; while A-Mei's good friend Tanya Chua is secretly in love with him.
Tanya was apparently introduced to Sam, through A-Mei, when he was working at the Whisky Gallery. The singer, who shuns the night life, began showing up at the Whisky Gallery for drinks. Even her concert's after-party was held at the Whisky Gallery back in March.
Sam was also invited to Tanya's house-warming party, and was seen sitting next to her in a group photo.
Commenting on the rumour, Tanya's manager said, "They are just friends. He's a very talented bartender that everyone adores."
"This is really outrageous," Tanya laughed, when she heard the rumour.
As for A-Mei's relationship with Sam, A-Mei's manager, who is also Sam's best friend, claimed that "(Sam) just looks up to her".
