Was the lack of care and education the cause of Hong Kong singer Sandy Lam's daughter Li Xi'er's bullying in school? The singer is currently busy with her concert tour and other work commitments.
After her divorce with singer-songwriter Jonathan Lee in 2004, Sandy became a single mother, taking on the responsibilities of a father too.
Recently, the Hong Kong media reported that Xi'er is a bully in school. The child, who will be turning 13 next week, is currently studying at Hong Kong North Point's International School.
Currently going through her rebellious teenage years, Xi'er is constantly hung out with four of her schoolmates -- three guys and a girl.
Xi'er is believed to be closest to one of the guys, who bore resemblance to Hong Kong singer Edison Chen. The pair was even seen whispering intimately in public after school and showed no signs of embarrassment. Xi'er even looked like she was reveling in the moment.
According to the report, Xi'er, who made use of her mother's celebrity status, started a gang in school. The group would boycott schoolmates, rampage school grounds and even play truant.
Last month, an exchange student chided Xi'er on the latter's Facebook wall.
The student claimed that Xi'er verbally abuses others frequently because she is the daughter of a superstar and is fluent in English.
Xi'er later clarified that she had never done so, adding that she was framed. The agitated girl then replied with profanities instead.
