A strikingly charming photo spread of actress Li Bingbing in the June edition of fashion magazine Marie Claire, China was released Friday, May 13, 2011.

One notable picture of the collection shows the actress in contrasting images relying on each other, reflective of her casting in two roles in "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan", a film about lasting female friendship.

Though one of the most anticipated Chinese faces at the Cannes Film Festival, Li missed out the glamorous red carpet due to her busy schedule, but will soon be there to promote two of her new projects, "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan" and "1911" ("Xinhai Geming"), costarring Jackie Chan.

Li's absence from the opening ceremony in Cannes has avoided unwanted comparisons between her and another high-profile Chinese attendee, Fan Bingbing, who stole the thunder on the day with a spectacular red dress embroidered with white cranes.
