Anita Yuen attended the “Sunday Kiss Competition” at Olympian City yesterday as a guest judge to help determine which parents and their children look the most alike. Speaking about her relationship with her own son Morton, Anita stated that Morton is closer to her husband Chilam [Julian] Cheung – for example, the day before yesterday, she asked her son to give her a hug, but he ignored her. Anita expressed that she didn’t understand why most children (especially boys) like to be close to their Dads more – she expressed that she hopes to have a daughter, as girls are usually closer to Mom. Anita laughed as she said this and said that she will try hard to in this area [having a girl] and if she is successful, she will announce it to everyone.

Anita indicated that she has been in talks to participate in a Mainland drama, however due to some issues with the terms, they were not able to reach an agreement. As for rumors that TVB producer Chong Wai Kin is planning on filming a sequel to 2009’s <> and will cast Anita and also Kenix Kwok as the main female leads, Anita bluntly stated that when she saw the report, she thought it was weird, as producer Chong had never contacted her. Afterwards, a TVB staff called her to clarify that the rumor is false and there is no such matter. Anita clarified: “From what I understand, the series is going to be a period drama – I don’t want to film period dramas because there is too much time involved with costume and makeup.” Anita admits that she likes to film modern series because of the flexibility in being able to accept other jobs at any time. She also expressed that currently she is not in any talks with TVB on filming series for them.
