Actress Motokariya Yuika has been chosen as the image character for Ohta Isan’s “Ohta Kanpo Stomach & Intestines Medicine II“, a drug that relieves stress induced gastritis, which is common in women who are 20~40 years old.
In the CM for the medicine, Motokariya plays a working girl who develops stomach troubles due to stress. A group of women appear one by one to cheer her up, and eventually she joins them in singing energetically as they walk down the street together.
The company wanted to encourage women suffering from stress with their ad,and Motokariya was picked for the role because of her cheerful and cute image.
On being chosen as the image character, Motokariya commented, “I’m very happy that I was chosen as the image character by a digestive medicine maker with history like Ohta Isan. Sometimes I also lose control of my body due to stress, but I relieved (stress) by exercising and talking to friends. Now that I’ve met a strong ally like ‘Kanpo II’, I think I will be able to work even harder from now on.”
The CM featuring Motokariya starts airing on May 9th.
