When a Hong Kong magazine published a photo of Hong Kong actor Raymond Lam with his ex-lover, Chinese model Pan Shuang Shuang, sleeping on the same bed, the ex-couple's relationship was exposed.
When Shuang Shuang proceeded to reveal more about their relationship, Raymond, who claimed that he has never been in a relationship ever since he joined the showbiz, saw his popularity and record sales plunge.
A few days ago, Shuang Shuang made her first public appearance in three months to clarify the various accusations that the media had hurled at her.
When interviewed, the model insisted that the reason she got together with Raymond was not to gain fame, especially when she comes from a well-to- do family and is able to give Raymond a property and sports car as a gift.
What upsets Shuang Shuang the most was when Raymond said that his friends around him told him that his girlfriend is a prostitute and all she wanted was his money.
"Some news even reported that I lashed out on him, which I didn't. All I did was only text him. Will all these people who accused me of such doings step forward with the evidence you have?" Shuang Shuang said.
She added, "When someone calls you his 'wife' when you both just got together, one will feel that he must have loved you a lot. However, I soon realise that this was actually his habit."
When asked if she had met Raymond's parents before, the model readily admitted that she did, and claimed that she had also met Raymond's siblings.
She continued expressing her disappointment with the Lam family, saying, "Regardless of how good you are, the family will still find something bad to say about you. Their son is so precious to them, making it seem like everyone is after their family for a reason. Is there a need for me to do so?"
Despite being very much affected by the "bed photo" incident in March which caused the model to generate zero income at present, she emphasised that she did not send out the photos to the media.
