PLANKING for a good cause? Two Taiwanese girls, Karren (left) and Jinyu are taking the global phenomenon of planking one-step further by using it to promote their country's tourism and culture. Planking involves posing in a flat-down, face to the ground position and having your picture taken and has its origins in Australia.

Ximending, dubbed the equivalent of Tokyo's Shibuya, is famous with for its street fashion, shopping, dining and youth culture. Jinyu and Karren, who call themselves the Pujie girls, are Internet celebrities known for their planking antics.
