Jessica Hsuan's maternal instincts are kicking in.
The Hong Kong actress plans to have a child as soon as possible and hopes to settle down with her 36-year-old fiancé Ruan Bester early next year.
The wedding is said to be held at South Africa in 2012 and the couple hopes to keep things simple, low-key, and environmentally-friendly.
It is said that the 40-year-old TVB artiste felt that their relationship is stable enough for them to progress into the next stage of life together and expressed that she's no longer getting any younger for motherhood.
After she started dating Ruan, Jessica once quipped in an interview, "It's most important for a woman to have a partner. Now [that I have one], I can sacrifice my career for love."
True to word, the starlet has been spending more time with her boyfriend and his family, allowing her showbiz career to take the backseat over the past year.
After accepting Ruan's proposal on Valentine's Day this year, the actress apparently purchased a S$2.6mil bungalow for their marital home.
She will be filming a local TV drama series called Bountiful Blessings with Tay Ping Hui and Ann Kok.
